Green focus in 2021 created greener freight options

Our green initiatives in 2021 resulted in, among other things, a Gold medal, 3 program participations, and more ISO certifications. 

We are proud as well as happy, for being able to take action and contribute to reducing emissions and to build sustainability - we like to say:

Greener transport methods

One of our main and daily actions is moving freight of goods to transportation methods being more environmentally friendly, like rail freight and sea freight. We aim to always offer a greener freight method - giving our customers an alternative due to; cost, time, and environmental friendliness.

But there is more to be done, not only changing transportations methods but optimizing packaging and consolidations of goods contributes to lower footprints.

Ecovadis

EcoVadis has grown to become the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, and reflects our engagement towards CSR. This year we obtained a golden medal.

Science Based Target  

ColliCare is responding to an urgent call-to-action for companies to set emission reduction targets. Goal is to keep global warming not to exceed 1,5⁰C. The initiative is backed by a global network of UN agencies, business, and industry leaders. We committed to set a science-based target.

3 programs to push the green shift

The programs are mainly in Norway, but supporting the whole ColliCare organization with both knowledge and experiences. 

 

Green Shipping program

A partnership program between private and public actors, to establish the world’s most efficient and environmental friendly shipping.

 

Green Road Transportation Program

A partnership program between private and public actors, to ensure the necessary change to emission-free transportation.

 

H2 truck

Main goal is to bring 100 hydrogen trucks with the necessary infrastructure in Norway.

Besides that, we have added ISO 14001 environment certifications to our list

  • the management processes
  • corporate management and supportive functions
    • main business unit processes incl. monitoring and control of subsidiaries

Environmental improvement by increasing capacity

By increasing the load capacity from 97 to 155cbm, we expect to reduce the CO2 footprint by about 30% for a 155cbm moving floor set!
