Refurbishing trailers to reduce our CO2 footprint
We are refurbishing ten KRONE Profi Liner SDF trailers from 2015. Refurbishing these trailers is a more sustainable solution as we are delaying the long-term investment of buying new trailers. Instead, we are finding quick and cheaper alternatives to reduce our CO2 footprint faster. By replacing the parts of the trailer that suffer the most from wear and tear, we are extending the lifespan of our trailers and reducing waste. This includes restyling the curtains with our brand.
As part of our sustainability program, we are constantly looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment. Refurbishing trailers is just one of the many initiatives we have undertaken to promote sustainability in our operations.
Committed to a Sustainable Future
ColliCare Netherlands has a fleet of 70 trailers and 50 trucks, while the ColliCare group has over 400 trailers operating in Europe. Our trailer refurbishment program is just one of the many steps we are taking towards a sustainable future.
Jan Willem Teeninga, Site Manager Groningen, had this to say about our refurbishment program:
Besides investing in 10 new trailers in December 2022, refurbishing old trailers is a smart way to reduce our CO2 footprint. By refurbishing our trailers, we are not only reducing waste and emissions, but also promoting sustainable practices in our industry.
At ColliCare Logistics, we are committed to promoting sustainable practices in our operations. Our trailer refurbishment program is just one of the many initiatives we have undertaken to reduce our carbon footprint and promote a sustainable future within our sustainability program. We believe that by finding innovative and cost-effective solutions, we can reduce waste and emissions while still providing our customers with the highest quality transport solutions.
